Tell me about Zafira!
Zafira is a modern Fontaine Pujoyt bahia style catamaran 46' long and 25' wide. It is equipped with a full kitchen, galley, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, gas grill and spacious sunning net at the bow.
What comes with our trip?
All trips on Zafira include food & beverages. Our basic package for food is fresh fruit and vegetables, chips and proprietary bean dip, and freshly made chicken pinchos. We often throw out the fishing lines so there is a chance you will have fresh ceviche, grilled fish, or sashimi on board! Our bar consists of vodka, tequila, white and dark rum, gin, national canned beers, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, and Prosecco. We serve Coca-Cola & Canada Dry products as well as local fruit juices. With enough notice, we can work on getting specific liquors if available in Costa Rica. If you choose to bring any special occasion bottles, we ask that you give them to our crew for safe storage and pouring.
Where will we go?
Zafira does its best to take you on a trip like you haven't experienced in Costa Rica before. We like to take you to a cove that is a little more exclusive, not as crowded, and hopefully one you could only get to by boat. If you've been with us before it would be our pleasure to take you to a cove you've never been to or an island in the bays if the conditions permit. Our goal is to always get you in the clear waters for snorkeling, swimming, or 'flinking'. Talk to our bookers in advance if you have a special place you'd like to go.
What about the weather?
"Rain or shine, it's a good time!", is what we like to say. We will only cancel a trip if the Captain thinks the conditions are too dangerous to be on the water. If we have to cancel your trip, we will do our best to reschedule or offer a refund.
What is the cancellation policy?
To reserve your date/time, we require a 50% deposit, that is non-refundable within 72 hours of your scheduled trip. Captain will only cancel if the conditions are too dangerous to be on the water and we will fully refund (or reschedule as best possible) if we cancel.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring proper sun protection for your needs and towels. Some guests have found it helpful to bring dry clothes to change into after being in the water. We have some children's life vests, but if you have a group of children that require them, please either bring your own or let us know ahead of time the number of children so we can try to source the necessary number needed.
What if I want to customize my trip?
We can absolutely work with you to make your trip special! As long as we have enough time to accommodate special requests, VIP treatments, and elevated food experiences, we will do our best to meet your expectations.
